Expanding to other East Bay schools
Success grows an ever-larger number of schools interested in FemineerTM Program expansion.
Mt. Diablo Unified School District’s CARES Expanded Learning Program has embraced this rigorous and relevant after school experience in Ygnacio Valley’s Engineering Pathway, and has expanded it further to Ygnacio Valley’s feeder middle school Oak Grove Middle School in 2022-23. This is a powerful way to grow the Engineering Pathway at the high school and interest more girls in the pathway’s ninth grade experience.
Other East Bay Project Lead The WayR Engineering Pathways have also implemented in 2022-23. Hayward Unified School District’s Bret Harte Middle School now offers a FemineerTM club which began in January. Bret Harte’s Engineering Pathway articulates to Hayward High School’s PLTW Engineering Pathway, as well.
Invest Time, Talent and Tender in the FemineersTM
Help us make the CalPoly Pomona Femineerâ„¢ Program available to more schools in the East Bay.
Empowering the workforce of the future starts with inspiration. Your support will ensure that exciting hands-on computer science and engineering adventures are continued at existing schools and made available to more girls in East Bay PLTW schools.
Women representing STEM careers are needed as volunteers. Let us know of your interest here. You may also make a tax-deductible donation allowing the purchase of materials to deliver the Creative Robotics and Wearable Technologies curriculum that can be directed to a FemineerTM Program of your choice.
The FemineerTM Program is made possible through the generosity of our early adopters in the East Bay including presenting sponsor, Stantec, and our major sponsor, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 302. Please consider putting your logo here as a Femineer supporter!
