Student Skills Showcase

Bay Area LEEDS provides opportunities for students to share their knowledge and skills with others, demonstrating their skill sets and relaying information through community activities and special events. We know that students become more aware of their abilities through these types of opportunities.

Demonstrating knowledge and skills more thoroughly ingrains new concepts into the consciousness of young people, helping them to capture learning. Student demonstrations improve learning and allow students to practice their skills in a controlled environment, allowing them to become more confident in the skill.

It also provides the opportunity to give public recognition to students for their achievements and to encourage them to enter careers related to science, technology, engineering and math. Additionally, it affords parents and the community an opportunity to examine scientific investigation products and the communication skills of students in our schools today.
